This property originally lacked a true “front door,” with the only access via a side entrance that felt unwelcoming. Working with an architect, the owners designed a new extension to create a defined and inviting approach. When we began work, it became clear the site suffered from serious drainage and water-logging problems. To resolve this, we installed a 6m³ soakaway and completely rebuilt the drainage system to the private sewer, protecting the property and ensuring a stable base for the extension.

With the groundworks complete, we constructed the new addition. A tiled roof kept in line with the traditional building, while Millboard composite cladding introduced a contemporary contrast. The redesigned corner window became a striking feature, drawing in light and maximising garden views. The result is an entrance that not only transforms the look and feel of the home but also adds lasting value through thoughtful design and robust construction.
