Story of Reeve Renovations
Looking back, I can see the seeds of Reeve Renovations were sown on a Saturday morning in July when I was 12 years old. I was helping my father build a concrete block shed at the bottom of the garden of our South London home.
My father, who was a senior picture restorer at the National Gallery, had a workshop full of wooden-handled tools and mysterious devices that always fascinated me.
I would spend any free evenings or weekends in the garden with my father building, digging, carrying and generally getting mucky. During this time my father taught me how to use some of those tools in his workshop. And with his eye for detail and pride in final finishes, I began to appreciate the skill and craft of building.
That summer, after countless trips carrying timber, blocks and bags of sand from our front driveway to the bottom garden (character-building for any 12-year-old), I could finally look back with pride at having helped build a structure from scratch.
Fast forward two decades – which included a BSc in product design and engineering, a master’s degree in product design, a trip round the world, and a career in finance – and I went back to working with my father. This time we went into business together, renovating homes for clients and buying and renovating properties for ourselves.
Whether it was a small bathroom or full-house refurbishment, my father kept instilling in me the value of precision and care. And today, when you work with Reeve Renovations, these are the same qualities our team and I will bring to your project.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
